From Rough Idea to Testable Prototype — Together
Kettle & Cog runs hands-on working sessions for early-stage founders who want to shape a small, buildable version of their idea — without writing a single line of code.
Three Ways to Build Your Idea
Each session is structured around your stage — whether you're still sketching on a napkin or ready to put something real in front of users.
Idea Prototype Session
A working session for founders who want to shape a small, testable version of an idea using no-code building tools. We sketch the concept, assemble a simple prototype together, and talk through next steps.
- Working prototype sketch
- Short written summary
- Suited to early-stage founders
Prototype Build Package
For founders ready to build a clickable prototype, this service assembles a working demo from no-code parts and prepares it for early user feedback. Aimed at startup teams with a direction already in mind.
- Built clickable prototype
- Feedback collection plan
- Dedicated working session
Validation Sprint Programme
A broader engagement supporting several prototype rounds with structured feedback and internal ownership — so your team can keep iterating long after the sessions end.
- Multi-round prototyping
- Feedback framework
- Structured review sessions
Built Around the Founder's Reality
No Code Required
We work with no-code tools, so founders can participate fully without needing technical skills or a developer on hand.
Side-by-Side Working
Sessions are collaborative, not lecture-style. We sit with you, ask questions, and build together in real time.
Modular by Design
Start with a single session and scale up. Each step builds on the last, so nothing is wasted as your idea evolves.
Structured Thinking
We use a consistent methodology to organise messy ideas into clear, testable parts — reducing time spent on unfocused discussion.
Suited to Teams
Our Sprint Programme works across whole founding teams, building shared ownership of the product direction from day one.
KL-Based, Locally Grounded
Based at Common Ground, Bangsar South — a space familiar to the KL founder community. In-person sessions, real conversations.
Have an Idea Worth Testing?
Most founders wait too long before putting something in front of users. A single session can change that. Let's find out what your idea really needs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any technical background to join a session?
Not at all. Our sessions are designed for founders at any stage, regardless of technical experience. We handle the tool setup; you focus on the idea.
How long does a session typically take?
The Idea Prototype Session runs for about half a day. The Build Package includes a full working day. The Validation Sprint spans several weeks with scheduled sessions built in.
What will I have at the end of a session?
Depending on the package: a sketched prototype with notes, a clickable demo ready for user testing, or a full feedback framework your team can continue using independently.
Are sessions held in person or online?
We primarily run sessions in person at Common Ground, Bangsar South. If your team is outside Kuala Lumpur, reach out and we can discuss remote options.
Can more than one person from a team join?
Yes — particularly for the Build Package and Validation Sprint, having co-founders or key team members in the room often makes the session more productive.
What's the pricing and how do I pay?
Sessions are priced at RM 590, RM 1,720, and RM 2,860 respectively. Payment details are shared after we confirm your booking. We accept bank transfer and selected digital payment methods.
